Up the Canyon

We are missing our kids so much we started looking at pictures. These are some cute ones of a little Sunday afternoon picnic we took up American Fork Canyon. The kids really love going up there. We should take them more often.

Bronson. Kailey and Kennedy,
We love you so much and we miss you tons. I called Cami and she says you guys are doing great. Have fun with your grandparents and we will be back soon. Hugs and kisses.

Kailey turns 5

Kailey is our little sweetheart. She is so nice to her little sister and she is sooo happy. She loves to read her new books from preschool. I can't believe that our second child is already five. She is growing up so fast. We love you Kailey.

First Day of School

I am totally late on these posts, but I say better late than never. Bronson started 1st grade this year. He had no trouble getting used to going all day. He actually really enjoys going all day. He is so smart and such a great reader. We are so lucky to have him.

Pedicure

These pictures were taken a couple of months ago, but I thought I would post them because I think they are so cute. Kennedy loves getting her toes done because Kailey likes to get her toes done. She loves to do everything that Kailey does. It is so cute.

Utah Half

This was Spencer's latest race. It took place in and around Utah Lake. It was really bad weather so they cut the swim in half. He had a disc wheel on the back of his bike which made it very difficult because of the huge gusts of wind. He almost got blown over a couple of times. He went 2 extra miles on the bike because a gate was locked that was supposed to be open and he, along with about 40 other people, kept riding past it. After a mile some volunteers told them to go back. He ended up taking 2nd place and he only lost by 2 minutes. Too bad he had to go the extra 2 miles. Oh well. It was a fun day and I am glad he did so well.

Boise

I haven't posted anything for a while. Summer gets kind of hectic sometimes. This is a little bit of what Spencer has been doing. He swims almost everyday (when he is not in Chicago for work) and he rides the bike and runs a ton too. He has certainly found a passion. This was the half-ironman that we went to in June. I loved cheering him on but the kids got pretty bored and pretty wet. It rained the entire time. (A little over 4 1/2 hours). Maybe we will leave them home next time.
This is Spencer's age-group getting ready to swim. Getting the wetsuit off. Can be challenging.

He was a bit tired at the end. The race was 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13 mile run. He finished really well. He placed 66th out of about 1300 participants and 2nd on the bike for non-professionals. Not too bad for his 2nd triathlon.

Bronson's first piano recital. He wasn't nervous at all. He did a really good job.

Fun times at the Dinosaure Museum at Thanksgiving Pointe.

Grandma and Grandpa Lofthouse came to see Kailey sing in the mother's day program at preschool.
